Servant Leadership & Organizational Learning

Are you concerned about the integrity of your business practices? Do you wonder how you can honor the needs of your workers and the needs of the earth and still have a healthy bottom line?

This program, Servant Leadership & Organizational Learning will assist you in exploring these questions. Intended for not-for-profit as well as for-profit organizations this experience cultivates leaders with heightened awareness of the impact of their choices and actions on others and on the earth. Robert Greenleaf says, “A new moral principle is emerging which holds that the only authority deserving one’s allegiance is that which is freely given and knowingly granted by the led to the leader in response to, and in proportion to, the clearly evident servant stature of the leader. To the extent that this principle prevails in the future, the only truly viable institutions will be those that are predominately servant-led.”
This process, designed to work with leadership in organizations, gathers key members from a for-profit organization as well as leaders from not-for-profit organizations in the same experience. Through this interaction bridges are built that continue to be helpful beyond the training sessions. Along with the themes of servant leadership we build knowledge and skill of organizational development practices. The Leadership Circle Inventory is part of this experience. The inventory gives excellent feedback about one’s leadership style. The experience is divided into quarters meeting weekly for 12-13 sessions.
